Basketball Beginnings

In the eighth grade, after a growth spurt over the summer, Tisdale took an interest in basketball. However, it was not until he attended Booker T. Washington High School that Tisdale began to take the sport seriously. While there, he joined the basketball team and led them to the Class 5A Basketball Title during his junior year.

By the time of his graduation in 1981, Tisdale's talents on the court had caught the attention of college scouts nationwide.
